Lemon Garlic Fish with Honey Sriracha Glaze
This quick lemon garlic fish is perfectly tender and flaky with a sweet and spicy glaze that caramelizes beautifully. The bright citrus notes balance the heat of the sriracha, creating a mouthwatering dish that tastes restaurant-quality but takes just minutes to prepare.
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 15 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 4 white fish fillets (such as tilapia, cod, or sea bass, about 6 oz each)
- 3 tablespoon olive oil (divided)
- 4 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 lemon (half juiced and half sliced)
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.25 cup honey
- 2 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Pat fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix honey and sriracha sauce together to make the glaze. Set aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add fish fillets to the hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and flaky.
- Remove fish to a plate and cover loosely with foil to keep warm.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant (don't let it brown).
- Pour in lemon juice and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- Add the honey sriracha glaze and simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in butter until melted and sauce is glossy.
- Return fish to the skillet, spoon sauce over fillets, and add lemon slices to the pan.
- Heat for another minute, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For less heat, reduce the sriracha to 1 tablespoon. This pairs well with steamed rice or roasted vegetables.
